Service Staff Haiku
Let’s take a break from the usual bread-and-butter restaurant posts. Instead, I’d like to share a haiku with you… one that was recited by a poet during Melbourne Writer’s Festival 2009. I liked it so much I quickly wrote it down (while I was sitting in the audience) before it slipped from my memory. And I’m glad I can now share it here.
This post is dedicated to all the waiters and service staff who’ve worked so hard in what’s sometimes a thankless job. On this front, I’d like to thank all of you for making my food journey in Australia so incredible.
Haiku For Waiting Staff
Know my service name,
order a smile from my face
THEN… ask for your food.
