Postscript:
I took a whimsical approach with this post simply because the name itself “mina no ie” sounded so cartoon-like. To sum it up, Fakegf and I enjoyed our brunch here. Gentle, meaningful, and light flavours created with beautifully thought-out ingredients, meticulously prepared with loving hands. We left with a smile and the traditional Japanese sense of being 80% full.

Haha, cute post :) For the entire time, I was like, “is this really Fatboo writing?!” but yes I did pick up the cute manga voice :) And that wholesome miso soup looks delicious!

Ha ha, thanks!
I am a total stalker, in that I haven’t commented yet, but I did want to say I enjoyed this. Made me think of the cookie monster :-)

That’s cute! Probably the effect I was going for! Thanks for commenting!
When I was in Japan, I couldn’t resist any dessert that combined matcha and azuki. THE GOODNESS!!
They are some of my favourite ingredients, indeed!
They are a fairly new offshoot/sibling of Cibi. :) Looks like the food is of a similar quality. I’ve been meaning to visit but not yet got around to it!

I am still eager to go to Cibi!
I always love your photos! You must use your BIG camera ;) I like the sound of the green tea desserts especially and the food looks so clean and simple tasting but delicious!

Thanks Catherine! Yes, most of the time I do use my bigscarycamera. But these days I snap v quickly so that I can enjoy the meal, and then later depending good editing to make the photos look yummy! :)
The writing style struck a chord with that of David Peace’s Tokyo Year Zero series, which is very abrupt and disjointed – a staccato rendering of (his perception of) the obsessive compulsive national character of Japan. That’s quite a grim novel but this post reads more like how a happy schoolchild might approach a much-loved breakfast ritual. :)

That’s such a cheem analysis of my whimsical post, ha ha! But yes, I did have munchkins (of the Japanese-y variety) in mind when writing this post. :D
Rahhhh you do know Mr Bao subscribes to your posts :P and now he’s bugging me about coming here ~ he really likes anything JAPANESE lol
Great find! I’ve never heard of this place and I’m definitely gonna go for that MATCHA CAKE!!!!

I’m so happy to hear that Mr Bao looks forward to my brunch and Japanese posts and that he subscribes to my feed!
When you visit please also try the fascinating mossy looking cupcake!
hilarious .. can imagine your actions whilst writing. Very Singa..porean talkie talkie
Lols, it’s meant to be more little munchkins from some distant fairyland gushing over food, rather than Singlish. But still good thr you found it funny. =)
Lol at the blog post writing! Made me think of my Evil Capsicums as I read it! hahahah
Haha the evil capsicum Halloween story was pure gold! :D
Ahh!! Oishii!!
Loved the style of this post. Everything here looks super healthy too! A bit better than my usual bacon and eggs type brunch haha.

It’s definitely a very healthy feed, and leaning towards the vegetarian side of things. Idelt good after eating there, but admit was still a little peckish when I left. Hehe ;)
Haha I, too, was also thinking to myself ‘Hmm, is this really Bryan writing?’
The food look so healthy and delicious. I need to come here one weekend…

But y writing has always been a little nonsensical, so I thought it’d still be recognizable here! ;)
It’s a good steak place, I’d even keen to hear what you think! Bring your partner! :)
I like how light and breezy this place looks. Very inviting. Love your photo of the green tea cake on the blue and white plate!
Thanks, Kimberley. It’s a spacious, gallery-like warehouse, a bit of a different experience. That suburb has quite a few interesting cafes and shops! =)
Bahahahaha. I could totally imagine you two eating there, love this fun approach. :) Love the pics too, been wanting to visit!
